Have you ever looked at people's "join date?" I mean really looked?

Sometimes I devide the number of posts by how long people have been registered.

That is probably highly significant somehow.

I'd like to send out a thank you to all the non-cotton based lifeforms at UD.  There may be others on the intertubes who are crazier, or more prolific, or more shrill, but none beat y'all for best all-round, grade-A TARD.

And to all the cotton-based lifeforms there:  Thank you for hours spent in unrecognized toil.  One day you will receive the glory you so richly deserve.

Uncommon Pissant is so ridiculous and moronic that conversations about it break out on Panda's Thumb all the time. The PTers aren't providing a dedicated thread to discuss the Everlasting Trainwreck which is that blog, so this thread's for that. I initiate the thread with a DaveScot link:

What’s up with the Utah legislature considering whether to teach intelligent design in schools? Haven’t they heard about Dover? :-)

apparently he isn't familiar with 'Divine Design' Buttars, or he wouldn't be so jolly.

In celebration of the 1000th page I thought I'd quote the very first post that Steve dedicated to Davetard.  Nice to know that davetard has not gotten a clue in over 2 years of tardistry.

I'd like to thank all the little tards for making this possible, and the biggest tard of them all, DT, for his yeoman efforts to remain the top tard in the UD cesspool.

And now I'm making a margarita, to celebrate this milestone. Wish you were here!

In tribute to this thread I can think of no better lines than these by Shakespeare:

Quote
"Friends, Romans, Countryman, lend me your ears; I come to bury Caesar not to
praise him. The evil that men do lives after them, the good is oft interred with
their bones; so let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus hath told you Caesar was
ambitious. If it were so, it was a grevious fault, and greviously hath Caesar
answered it. Here, under leave of Brutus and the rest(For Brutus is an honorable
man as are they all, all honerable men)come I to Caesar's funeral. He was my
friend, faithful and just to me; but Brutus says he was ambitious, and Brutus is
an honorable man. He hath brought many captives home to Rome whose ransomes did
the general coffers fill; did this in Caesar seem ambitious? When the poor have
cried, Caesar hath wep; Ambition should be made of sterner stuff. Yet Brutus
says he was ambitious; and Brutus is an honorable man.You all did see that on
Lupercal I thrice presented him a kingly crown, which he did thrice refuse. Was
this ambition? Yet Brutus says he was ambitious; and sure he is an honorable
man. I speak not to disprove what Brutus spoke, but here I am to speak what I
do know. You all did love him once, not without cause; what cause withholds you
then to mourn for him? O judgement thou art fled to Brutish beasts, and men hath
lost their reason! Bear with me; my heart is in the coffin there with Caesar,
and i must pause till it come back to me."

PaV: I suppose for me to be pried away from what I do to focus long and hard on that particular problem would take, quite honestly, hundreds of thousands of dollars to begin to pique my interest.

Little known fact, 1,000 full pages is actually 29,999 comments. The original post counts as the 0th, not the 1st comment, and so the nth page contains comments (n-1)*30 through n*30-1.

Tard Alert!

It’s wonderful to make the obvious link between darwinism and atheism, specially when we see many liberal “churches” worshipping Darwin.

I thought Ftk took care of that for us - really bringing us the alpha and the omega - thanks Ftk!

Hey steve, are you going to get the new thread off to a running start, so that we can pass the baton seamlessly?

Or are we going to have a Viking funeral as mentioned up thread?

[there is some choice tardistry I'd like to point out - just wanted to know where to put it]

[Also, I want to know the winner of the name-the-new-UD-thread contest]

What would either of those two know about being an Atheist...or intellectually fulfilled for that matter?

Does Jonathan Wells think that Reverend Moon is the Intelligent Designer? If that were true, you'd think Wells would be able to come up with an explicit theory of I.D., what with actually knowing the designer and all.
