Terrible logic, Barry! 🙂 Among other things, what if one also believes that supporting the principle of free and fair elections are good, and trumps (pun intended, and hard to avoid) one’s concerns about who gets elected?

In general, why would one believe “the good must be achieved by any means necessary” when one’s judgments about the morality of means has to be balanced against one’s actions.

I find your posts with made up-conversations or thoughts of people you disagree with the height of strawmanship.

Hazel, it has been nice knowing you.

I image it was similar to the YECs that have gotten biology degrees.  He just didn’t believe or understand the things he “learned”.

He's not the worst lawyer, he's better than Ty Beard, who managed to get the world's lawyers laughing at him for this (particularly p5, third bullet point), and then spent the next few months doubling down so badly there is a whole "threadnought" on twitter about the actions of his side in the action.

Has there been a revolution at Uncommon Descent?  Ronald McLaughlin wrote a piece at Evolution News which includes this:
Quote
Through Johnson I met, and later became friends with, Bill Dembski, another leading light in the ID movement. Dembski invited me to write for his ID-related Uncommon Descent website (now headed by Denyse O’Leary).

No mention of a failing attorney in Denver at all.

Is this an improvement? From being run by a failed lawyer to being run by a failed journalist?

Batshitcrazy77 hasn’t asked Barry to ban the bad men/women who have the audacity to criticize him.

Or Barry has realized that relying on batshitcrazy77, KF, Dense and Dreary and Joke to bolster his lame blog is not working. Just look at the most popular OPS over the last few years. They have all had people like Sev, EG, Hazel, Bob, BB, and people like them stirring the pot. If you keep banning them all you have is Intelligent Reasoning.

According to Google Scholar, it has been cited once. My pitiful publication record (5 papers in 40 years) have been cited 131 times. I wonder if ET, KF or BA77 would be willing to post their citation record. Ads in Toaster Repairs Weekly don’t count.

Our nature is unchanging. We have the same motivations that have existed for thousands of years. There’s a reason socialism always fails, which is the inability to calculate human nature. We are unique in nature. We have tremendous ability to invent and have used this ability to create and destroy. Rome had a river that was polluted, which was primarily from the human bodies that ended up in the water. War isn’t a pleasant business and the aftermath left the people getting sick from drinking the water. The first aqueduct was their solution. By the time they finished, Rome had brought clean water to its capital and upwards of 1,000,000 people used that water on a daily basis. There was nothing in nature quite like the aqueduct that was created.

Can't argue with that kind of logic.
