You can buy it now at Amazon if you want. I had to start a thread because the blurb on Amazon is classic

This compact guide lays out the basics of Intelligent Design, popularly known as ID. William Dembski, the dean of the intelligentdesign movement, and Sean McDowell especially target readers whose understanding may have been confused by educational bias and onesided arguments and attacks.

Commonsense and nononsense, with pointed examples, the authors explain

   * the central theories of ID, showing why the presence of information and meaningful complexity require the involvement of intelligence
   * why ID adheres to the scientific method and is a valid field of scientific inquiry
   * why scientific evidence increasingly conflicts with evolutionary theories
   * how both evolutionary theory and ID have religious/philosophical underpinnings, and why this causes so much controversy
   * how both systems of thought have radical implications for our cultureand what readers can do about it

Clarifying crucial issues, this key resource gives nonspecialists a solid grasp of one of todays foundational religiousscientificcultural concepts.

The comments on the Amazon page seem pretty sane so far. Expect influx of O'Learyisms in 3... 2... 1...

Considering hisselves own words on the target audience, here's my guess on its contents, page by page.

1. Cover
2. This page intentionally left blank
3. Goddidit
4. Buy my book

No need for a actual book then, just a sheet of paper folded in two.

Should cover it.

Oh my. I already have three of Dembski's books (gave one way; Design Revolution). When I can order this one as a used book the list grows by one. I hide the books in a drawer, so that my quests won't panic.

This also from Dembski's very reputable science publisher:

With the controversy over “hate crimes” legislation repeatedly in the headlines, many fear that in addition to punishing crime, proposed laws could also restrict religious speech. Will “hate crimes” legislation merely serve to further the gay agenda? Anderson sorts through myths to deliver the facts on homosexuality and its social impact on families, the church, schools, and traditional marriage. While also considering spiritual aspects of the debate, he answers key questions about the roots, goals, and implications of homosexuality and the pro–gay movement.

Check out the photo of author Kerby Anderson. He looks like quite the closet case, big surprise.

I mean, Miller got Viking. What's the matter, Bill, wasn't Regnery interested?

Some social science experiments have concluded that you can predict someone's sexuality to about 80% confidence from a single photo. I haven't seen the photo of Kirby, but from what I know of Reaction Formation, it wouldn't surprise me.

Holy shit. The Editor's blurb on Amazon really does say "religiousscientificcultural."

Cdesignproponentists pursuing aposcholarshiplogetics would be well advised to avoid creating neologisms that emphasize their religious origins and motivations.

If they wish to emphasize the status of ID is a ciscientificmovementrcus, better to start publishing empirical findings generated in their closecretlabssets from within the framework of Ibuncod. I'm not sure that an intellectual smathematiciannakeoilsalesman like Dembski makes the most appealing front man for an appeal to teens, either.

Their choice of hjournalistack-coauthor is questionable, too.

Over at Panda's Thumb,  Richard Hoppe reports that the paragon of scientific knowledge Ann "the Man" Coulter has provided the dust jacket blub for WAD

Quote
In my book Godless, I showed that Darwinism is the hoax of the century and, consequently, the core of the religion of liberalism…. Liberals respond to critics of their religion like Cotton Mather to Salem’s “witches.” With this book, two more witches present themselves for burning: Sean McDowell, whose gift is communicating with young people, and Bill Dembski, often called the Isaac Newton of intelligent design. I think Dembski is more like the Dick Butkus of Intelligent Design.

Billy Dembski, the Dick Butt kiss of Intelligent Design!   :p  :p  :p
