As they don't have a 'how' it is of course hard to make predictions, but I'm going to try in good faith to help them. Frontloading?... My understanding is that the blueprints were all in there at the start ready to be unpacked into different organisms. IDers feel free to correct me if I'm misstating. If this is true then early life should have the same or greater information content* than later life? Sounds like a testable prediction to me. The premise is that only 'intelligent agency' can increase information content although mutations can possibly reduce it (Think of a fax becoming unreadable after N generations of re-scanning). Well, one prediction is that earlier organisms would have a larger genome. And.... Bacteria DO have a larger genome (as measured by base pairs) than humans. I win.  Frontloading is valid (so far).

This has been tested once, on mushrooms, in Dave's basement lab, but didn't yield the expected result.

You get so much more meaning from such a little phrase response like that.
