Good theological question.
Had man not been to the moon I'd have to say that Satan would probably not have had reason to go there, since there is no one to tempt.
But man has been on the moon, briefly, so there is a definite possibility that he might have attempted to tear their souls from the cradling hands of the One True God, while they were vulnerable, in a state of weighlessness, away from their family, etc.
