I have conversations with my friend G about what jobs we would/wouldn't take for ethical reasons. We're both nominally fairly ethical, but living in rural north florida in a shitty economy bends one's principles. We've concluded that under no circumstances would we work for payday lenders. Simply too unscrupulous and destructive. But I have noticed all the ads that accompany right-wing media for miracle cures, armageddon supplies, gold coins, etc., ...apparently the tards can be mined for more than humor! Those social security disability checks are just itchin to get spent on some buhhhhh-shit.
But I wonder what I could sell them...
...aftermarket hoverround gun racks? Radar detectors 'designed to detect special UN frequencies...? Think steve, think. |

that's fascinating. and a damned good hypothesis
Quote | Since his attack has a low density of victims the Nigerian scammer has an over-riding need to reduce false positives. By sending an email that repels all but the most gullible the scammer gets the most promising marks to self-select, and tilts the true to false positive ratio in his favor. |
explains creationism very well.
extending to other factions, such as tea party tards or the earth is our mother tards, makes me wonder if the "low density of victims" is always relevant.
Seems that if there are other interests in the mix (and this takes it out of the particular scammer scenario and into a more general dupe the dupes scenario) then this could be reasonable explanation for how social movements often sacrifice broadly appealing platforms on the altar of ideological purity.
