Is anyone doing any research into evolution by means of blind and mindless processes? What have they found and published? What advances have been made the concept? |
Joe loves his little qualifier. If he isn’t just a trolling jackass, he must think that research in astronomy assumes his god is pushing the planets around in their orbits because every paper doesn’t explicitly say otherwise. He thinks research in seismology assumes Jesus makes earthquakes because they never put “we are operating under the premise that earthquakes are caused by blind and mindless processes” in the abstracts of their articles.
Or maybe he thinks only evolutionary biology is different? Perhaps after a few “fuck you, asshole”s he’ll explain why. |

And yes, the design of the earth requires earthquakes and shifting plates. Earthquakes actually help us understand our planet and plate tectonics helps with recycling.
The earth did not just happen via innumerable just-so cosmic collisions.
We are the only planet with inhabitants in this system and we are also the only planet that has a smaller system that provides perfect solar eclipses. It just so happens we need that moon to stabilize the earth's axis of rotation. And it provides us with a nice natural experiment which has uncovered a wealth of knowledge.
And the fact that the moon is receding means we just happened along at the right time.
Evolutionary biology assumes the mechanisms are blind and mindless. No one has actually demonstrated that ATP synthase could evolve by any mechanism. All anyone has done is look at ATP synthase and then try to imagine how the fuck it could have just spontaneously evolved.
They start saying shit like gene duplications not understanding what that entails in order to A) get the newly duplicated gene under the control of a new binding site and B) change the gene so that it affects the protein it codes for. It is all imagination. |

My point is that you dismiss the thousands of papers with evidence for evolution because they don’t put “this research assumes that ID is bollocks” in 48 point font at the top. You know, or should, that the overwhelming majority of research in evolutionary biology operates under the default premise that the forces behind evolution are “blind and mindless” just like the researcher in every other field of science. But you like to pretend all that evidence doesn’t exist rather than saying you think it’s wrong, because then you would have to admit that you are anti-evolution in the sense that word is used by (almost) every biologist on the planet.
We all get that you think everything is designed, but you haven’t produced any evidence (your personal incredulity not withstanding) to support that belief, and scientists have produced a metric fuck-ton that you’re wrong. |

I don't dismiss any papers on evolution. What I am saying is they do NOT support evolution by means of blind and mindless processes. That is what Dr. Behe has also been saying.
There isn't a default premise- dumbass. You cannot just assume that which has to be demonstrated. As Dr. Spetner wrote in 1997 (Not By Chance) there isn't any justification with baldly claiming all mutations are chance occurrences. The whole fucking debate is about the mechanisms- are they blind and mindless or are they telic.
And no, asshole, no one has ever said everything was designed, I have produced evidence for ID in biology. Others have done the same.
Look, asshole, you can't even tell us how to test the claim that ATP synthase evolved by means of blind and mindless processes. All you have is imagination in replace of science and evidence.
If what I have is personal incredulity, which is wrong, then all you have is wishful thinking.
So go ahead- produce a testable hypothesis for the evolution of ATP synthase via blind and mindless processes. I know how to test the claim that ATP synthase was the result of intelligent design
