Keep going, your mom's due home in ten minutes.

Nope, I've not quite finished with her.

PZ Myers thinks his blog is peer reviewed literature (he must since its all he does) so why not IDists?

What do you fo Krabs? I'm guessing engineer..

His mom made him get a job at Burger King last summer but he quit.

He hated the funny hat they made him wear.

Finally we come to Mr. Krabs, whose character is perhaps the most dangerous of all. Mr. Krabs is a local entrepreneur and owner of the Krusty Krab restaurant. He is portrayed as stingy, in part because of the low wages he pays his employee, SpongeBob. But if it weren't for Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob wouldn't have a job! The creators of the show clearly intend Mr. Krabs to be a caricature of capitalism, and they use his character to promote a pro-socialist agenda. On top of his role as a perversion of the capitalist promise, Mr. Krabs has a daughter who is a whale. Can anyone say bestiality?

SpongeBob SquarePants and his colleagues are a clear and present danger to the moral fabric of America.

No, all the pot and LSD that I did when I was in college rotted my brain.

My first car. Bought is used and 12 years old. ?Those canvas side-curtains and button snap top were perfectly designed for those long cold Mid-Western winters. ?

My first car was a '73 MG Midget, that I bought in '79.

It was in the shop every weekend, it seemed.

But I drove it almost ten years.

I had the same weekly vist plan!  The wire wheels were the biggest problem.

BTW - Your current transportation looks a little less expensive to operate, but about the same amount of fun.  It might even have more power, since as I recall Midgets were low in horsepower.

I think krabs is actually some one famous!  Someone that might have a lot more time on his hands very, very soon.  Someone that you might want to be careful around if they start toe tapping, and someone that swears they are not gay.  How about a BIG ATBC round of applause for Senator Craig!  Come on y'all give it up for the Senator... I mean krabs!

Heh.  My first car (1985) was a '68 VW bug.  It had been sitting in a field for two years, and yes I did have to chase the field mice from under the back seat.  Gave it a jump and drove it away.

It had plenty of horsepower.  It'd do 0 - 60 in 4.9

minutes.

Take a look at the greatest car ever made, the Porsche 959

No way! Nobody ever did muscle cars like the Americans in the 60's. Porsches are, by comparison, gender challenged. Take for example the '66 Mustang Shelby. Now that's a design that Calvin would have predestined for his garage.

I said the greatest car ever made, not the most testosterone-poisoned.

But yeah, I can definitely see Calvin using the Shelby to ram a crowd of Unitarians, rather than the vastly more elegant 959.

I picture Calvin more in a red Ford pickup, with a shotgun rack and a Confederate Flag decal over the back window.

I can't exactly figure out why anyone would think the Porsche is gender challenged. Considering that the 66 Shelby weighed about 4000 lbs and had 300 hp, and the Porsche 959 weighed about 3000 lbs and had 450 hp, better aerodynamics, an Intelligently Designed suspension instead of a solid real axle, etc etc, there's no comparison in terms of performance.

An inapt comparison. The religious right is much different today than 500 years ago. The Enlightenment changed everything. For instance, 500 years ago Calvin supported torturing and murdering the infidels,

whereas now, the religious right supports...

I drove a '73 Midget that I bought in '73.  What didn't go wrong with it.

Drove it from NJ to CA with a companion and with everything I owned in the trunk.

Occasionally I miss being young. ;)

Gave it to charity in '89 after sitting in the garage for four years.

Had one of those too (a '67).  The car salesman showed me how to drive a stickshift.  Took me a week to get it into 4th (city traffic).

Had a 77 MGB as a second car that I drove for 20+ years.  I fixed it in some beautiful places - Monterey, Napa, Mendicino.  I also fixed it in the dark, in the rain, with a coathanger and duct tape.  Joseph Lucas IS the Prince of Darkness. :p The standing joke at the office was "Well OA, what happened to the B this weekend?"  True story - I got so miffed one day I got custom license tags that read MTBF 1HR.  Someone saw it and wrote it up in a nationwide MG newsletter.

Finally had to get rid of it in 2005 when I just couldn't get it through the tough CA smog check any longer.  Damn.  :(

Wonder if anyone out there could shed some light on this?
I think this might be a fossil coral but I'm unsure.

This was found in central Tasmania. The area is apparently a good site for fossil plants (what we were looking for) but the sediments we were picking at seemed to be more marine with a lot of bivalves and brachiopods.
Larger view and second image availbale.

Any help appreciated!

The Macro-e society is falling on it's weak unsubstantiated ass.  That much is SOOOOOO fucking clear. The proponents can absolutely NOT!!!!!!  demonstrate (even with fucking years of publically funded laboratory time fueled by their insatiable desire to "prove" that their is no god (oh for god's sake give it up already you pricks!!!!!!) , let alone, describe the vast and extenuated (to put it in terms you morons can conceive) "roadscape" from chemicals to "living systems" of any complexity. (Or even do this dumbshits, forget the OOL problem, that you love to sweep under the carpet, and just describe in any kind of significant detail, what the fuck needs to happen to go from (what you turds describe as "a simple bacterial cell" which it absolutely isn't simple, to something with brains, eyes, legs, respiratory systems, sexual reproductive organs, circulatory systems etc. fucking etc. fucking etc. or what the-fuck-ever.   You fat ass dumb bastards!!!!!! Go back to your beloved closets and continue to masturbate, but on someone else's dime.

Neal,

Thanks for the well reasoned and on-topic response.  Your vacabulary and mastery of the English language is matched only by your humbleness and sense of brotherly love.  Unless of course that was all just parody.  In that case, never mind.

Neal -

I am extremely glad that your post has not been removed for foul language.

It could be parody; my guess is that it's intended to be serious but that your judgment was loosened by substance abuse.

It is an excellent demonstration of the true quality of most creationist thought.

Others may lack the colorful language, but the irrational anger, uproariously hypocritical disconnect from any coherent ethical system, unsupported pompous yet nonsensical declarations, and desperate cognitive dissonance hiding behind anonymous verbal aggression, are all classically characteristic.

Thank you.  You have probably reached and educated more people than almost any other poster.
