Laugh if you will. But my farrier is one of those "Obama is a socialist (and perhaps the Anti-Christ) who is going to kill your granny" types. Alas, he is a great farrier, so I just nod and change the subject.
I have no clue what he believes about evolution, but given his knowledge of equine anatomy, it is hard to think of him as a denier. We have a pony that is just back in work after being off with a broken splint bone. I think that gives me the perfect way to figure it out* without being to obvious.
* The splint bone is generally considered a vestigial toe.
