Guiliani's strategy is to have cases that are so bad that they get rejected so quickly that they can get their case booted up to the Supreme Court in time to save Trump.

The judge who dismissed the Pennsylvania case, a Republican ex-NRA member, was brutal. Trump is down to three lawyers. The others quit, likely out of fear they’d be sanctioned for frivolous lawsuits.  :p

Can a case that is rejected "with prejudice" be appealed? Can the  Supreme Court far-right majority simply decide to hand the election to Trump without evidence and will that have no consequence?

Such a case can be appealed.

But Trump would need more than just Pennsylvania, which only has 20 electoral votes. Trump really has no path.

Trump would have to flip Pennsylvania, Michigan, and another state he lost. That would be virtually impossible if you had a team of the 10 best lawyers in the world. Not the clowns Trump has.  :p

Anyway Michigan state law says the electors go to the popular vote winner, and Biden won Michigan by 150,000+ votes.

Thanks, I'll try and be reassured!

Georgia just finished doing a manual recount and the result was nearly identical to the computer count. There goes the stupid conspiracy theory that the software changed the vote. Although I’m sure they’ll be repeating the conspiracy for years at places like UD.  :p

One of the lawyers tried to quit before the hearings before the judge, but the judge wouldn't let them. He did let them quite before he gave out his judgment, though.

KF is making the delusional case that the fact that the voting machines use FLOAT to store votes instead of INT to store votes something something election fraud. I’m not even going to attempt to understand his illogic.

The simplest explanation for why that would be true, if it even is, is that the software is just modified ATM software. IIRC some of the companies involved make both machines.

I would think double but its been a long time since my IEEE 754 class. But since KF believes in at least 4 conspiracy theories that I’m aware of it’s probably nonsense from a site like TheREALElectionTruth.ru or something.  :p

A double float has 52 bits in the ‘fraction’ (the CS term, not the math term) so i would think it could accurately store numbers up to 4503599627370496 without a problem.

Even if it’s only half that many digits, that would be more voters than are on the East Coast, so I’m sure it would work for a Georgia county.

No, he's not even making that claim. He's claiming that floats were used over a decade ago.

It looks like it's something to do with weighting elections, e.g. people from Danbury, CT, only get 0.25 of a vote each. As far as I can tell, the claim is that this was used in the 2020 elections because the votes changes over time.

I pretty much stopped reading KF. I read the replies to him by you, JVL, etc.  :p

Re "because the votes changes over time."

The counts change while they're still counting the ballots? Gee, what makes him think that?

Where he won the presidency but lost the popular vote due to a YUGE NATIONWIDE GERIMANDER or corrupted non democratic electoral system? Blame the law allowing cousins to marry each other with no recourse to feral pest control of baskets of deplorables for that. I pity your future.

Despite my gloom in the previous post I think there are uncanny parallels mainly due to the second state in USA beginning with the letter "P"* between this headline  " Federal judge rejects Trump campaign's Pa. lawsuit with prejudice, saying it lacks factual proof" and the United States District Court for the Middle District
of  Pennsylvania hearing of Kitzmillar v Dover Area School District. Fifteenth anniversary in just a few days.

Where is Judge
John E. Jones III now and did he affect Trump's latest scam?.

* The other is Perl Harbour# - because the Japanese left it in a state in 1941.

#Murika and other English speakers separated by a common language.
