Steve_h is having a birthday today. We don't see him all that frequently around here anymore, but we should acknowledge his past work.
Dembski's research assistant, Joel Borofsky, got into trouble back in 2006 for saying that the "strengths and weaknesses" language in the controversial Kansas science standards were just ID in disguise. He had to grovel in writing on UD and Steve_h left what is still one of the all-time classic comments. Alas, the actual blog post at UD has long since been sent to the bit bucket. But, the actual comment was memorialized here. Still makes me smile.
Happy Birthday, Steve!
It's natural to be curious about our world, but the scientific method is just one theory about how to best understand it. We live in a democracy, which means we should treat every theory equally. - Steven Colbert, I Am America (and So Can You!)
