This is something only you non-Germans beleave. BTW, what I like most of Munich are the "Biergärten" especially those outside of the inner city. You are allowed to bring your own food along and just have to buy something to drink in the shadow of huge chestnut trees. Unfortunately, the Biergarten idea has been corrupte in other parts of Germany. There people put two chairs on the street in front of a bar and call it Biergarten and of course you are not allowed to eat your own food there.
