Barry, and every other idiot on UD (KF, BA77, Jerry, Joke), is against anything they consider “progressive”. Maybe someone should point out to them that things like abolition, the five day work week, Medicare, stat holidays, maternity leave, the ban on child labour, safety in the work place, not being able to hit your wife, water treatment, wastewater treatment, the right of women to vote, the right of blacks to vote, the right of indigenous people to vote, the right of Asian Americans to vote, etc. etc., were the result of “progressive” ideas.
