We had this discussion when some evoTARD said that CO2 is a blanket. You all choked when I said that in order for that to be true then all of the radiation had to be back towards earth.
The sun's radiation heats the earth, the earth radiates longer wave IR, the alleged greenhouse gasses absorb it, re-emit it back towards earth, rinse and repeat- just as I have been saying since you morons first brought it up.
Too bad that is not how it works in the real world. For one CO2 only sees 8% of what is radiated from earth. For another most of what is re-emitted doesn't get back to the earth mostly because the earth as the source is already hotter than the atmosphere. Heat travels from hot to cold
