Quote (Joe G @ April 25 2018,18:08) | If the surface is 80 degrees and the thermal energy being radiated back is 70 degrees does that heat up the surface or cool it down?
(heat is energy, morons) |
You have a space heater in a room going full blast with the temperature outside being 30 F. With the windows in the room open the room temperature stabilizes and the temperature reaches equilibrium at 70 F.
Heat energy added from space heater - heat energy lost out window = room at 70 F.
Now you close the windows so no heat is being lost to the outside. What happens to the temperature in the room?
