Because the climate information is encoded in the tree ring widths and can be decoded and used by scientists later.
That's a code dumbfuck. A simple physical mapping but a code nonetheless. It's why scientists use the terms encode and decode when discussing dendrochronology as climate proxies. Your amazing ignorance of all things scientific doesn't change scientific facts one iota.
