I’m pretty sure it’s been mentioned before but these people have trouble remembering their own history. In her “Anti-science”? post Denyse bemoans the state of science teaching in schools. She asks, quoting Steven Novella:

“For example – who gets to determine what is ‘controversial?’ And who gets to determine what is ‘balanced?’”
How about parents and teachers as opposed to bureaucrats and lobbyists?

…which on the face of it sounds like a fairly stupid idea until you remember that the plaintiffs in the Kitzmiller case (a massive blow to intelligent design) were all local parents*.
As the old saying goes, careful what you wish for, Denyse.

*To be fair rvb8, who brought up the case in the comments, also appears to have overlooked this.
