And there is no conflict that at least one of the authors on most articles is also on the "journal's" editorial board. |
To be fair, there shouldn't be, as long as they have the systems in place to make sure any conflicts are avoided - the managing editor of the journal I'm a senior editor of always flags papers when there's an associate editor on the paper, or if one of the associate editors is at the same institution as an author.
That most papers have an author on the AE board just suggests that this is a small field.
