I disgree - being clear on definitions (including redefining terms if appropriate and have solid operational definitions) is one of the foundational steps for good science. |
Of course, N.Wells, that was poorly worded on my part. What I should have said is that defining terms doesn't make them true, and of course, definitions are very important and must be precise and operational, he has nothing of that.
