No idea. but I think he has the rules of reasoning in mind. Not that that helps him.
Let's see how that works out:
You see a watch being made by humans. Following Newton's rules, the next time you see a watch, even in a desolate landscape, you assume it was made by a human.
You see a plant or animal being made by a plant or animal. The next time you see a plant or animal you assume it was made by a sky fairy.
