A couple of friends were discussing the meaning of "success" in the music business ($ / exposure / respect / doing what you intended / wanted / are able to) and I pointed out that "Jupiter isn't a failed star, it just is what it is".

Re: tuning. Some people have an uncanny tuning sense. I was on a rooftop with a drunk piano major once. We heard train brakes squealing in the background, almost too high for human hearing, and she mumbled "F sharp."

And yer right, gender/preference isn't binary.  My ex with CAIS (complete androgen insensitivity syndrome) and a friend who switched from outie to innie really brought that home to me... especially when -- let's call the new her "Deirdre" -- originally said she'd be a lesbian but later had a boyfriend.
