Elizabeth violated a cardinal rule when arguing with creationists.
She said speciation is not an ambiguous concept. That gives them an opportunity to ask why species are ambiguous.
It's a bit like saying the concept of a spectrum is unambiguous, and being asked to point to the place where green ends and yellow ends.
When you use the word speciation, you need to point out that the concept itself includes the reason why species are hard to define.
