Ah-hem. I would posit that that one smart guy was actually a woman weary of nagging her sperm donor to go out and hunt, and/or repair the nest broom, and took this GilWhine as her cue to:
1) Repair it herself,
2) Forage for food (again), and
3) Invent the phrase, "Dear John."
Meanwhile, a thousand chimpanzees have used a thousand sticks/reeds to dig out termites to eat.
