Off Topic, but I wanted to keep it with the relevent bits.

I'm reading the AI and ID article that Richard linked to (from UD).  One thing caught my interest was a 3-D mandelbrot set.

Some years ago, I had a high end Xenon pentium chip and used it to explore fractals.  I even printed a few of the resulting images and one won an award in an art show.

Now, the math and processing power appears to be capable of developing fully 3-dimensional mandelbrot and julia fractals.  This website has some absolutely stunning images and the second page has links to rendering software.

Anyone who thinks complexity cannot derive from the simple, is stunningly clueless.

Ignored by those who can't provide evidence for their claims.
