I begged VJ:
"Please, no tedious objections vis unobservable, unexpressed 'capacities.' These are supposed to be testable assertions."
VJ, right on cue: Quote | Now, it may be that some human societies have lacked one or more of these things, but the ability to create them would always have been there, throughout human prehistory: on the religious world-view which I am describing, these were abilities that lay dormant within the human spirit, and all that was needed for them to spring up was the right combination of social and environmental conditions. |
Uh, Vincent, these are represented as testable predictions. What archeological, anthropological, or paleontological observation do you suggest can serve as a test of abilities that lay dormant "within the human spirit" for "hundreds of thousands of years?"
