What I've found entertaining is the utterly craven behavior of the other discussants on UD, StephenB most notably, none of whom have ever had the guts or independence to protest a banning. Discussants simply fall silent, and no one says a word. It's creepy.
StephenB, in particular, has invariably zeroed in on my socks (Diffaxial, Voice Coil, and most recently Zolar Czakl) and clearly WANTS to interact around his favorite topics. Following Diffaxial's unwarranted banning my subsequent socks avoided threads on which Stephen was commenting due to the likely outcome, only to have him sniff me out and engage. Also invariably, I've been silently banned when things have started going badly for him. He knows better than anyone that these banninations were unwarranted on any other basis (typically it is he who has by then deteriorated into personal characterizations), yet he has NEVER had the stones to ask about or protest a banning.
