How can I tell the difference between water that has come out of a condensation reaction (where we synthetic chemists have deliberately brought atoms of hydrogen and oxygen in one/two molecules together to eliminate them from our dersired reaction product) and water where we've run a spark through some hydrogen and some oxygen? I want the physical, detectable differences listed clearly because I can go into the lab today and test this. Where do I look? What am I missing?
Oh Friedrich W?hler. You are missed. Make no mistake, this latest from some IDCist (well, I say "latest", but new it ain't) is merely vitalism under a new name.

Maybe if the two methods put different ratios of isotopes in the result?
