That might just be because statistics that show genetic drift are generally based on empirical data* while the "statistics" that show that abiogenesis is impossible are probability calculations based on made-up numbers. * Although he might be not familiar with that concept. To help Alex73 out: The word empirical denotes information gained by means of observation, experience, or experiment. In statistics, "empirical" quantities are those computed from observed values, as opposed to those derived from theoretical considerations.
