Cornelius Hunter draws our attention to an actual case of 'Expelled'-- the bullying, intellectual suppression and dismissal of a professor of Old Testament Studies from a seminary.
<I'm not sure wtf Hunter's point is, but nothing new there. Hunter seems to suggest the author of the article and the victim were too deferential to 'Darwinian Orthodoxy.'>
His crime? | Quote | | "if the data is overwhelmingly in favor of evolution, to deny that reality will make us a cult...some odd group that is not really interacting with the world. And rightly so, because we are not using our gifts and trusting God's Providence that brought us to this point of our awareness." He said that refusing to deal with science as it is will marginalize Christians. |

So even addressing the data (in a theistic evolution frame) is SCARY to these folks. No actual science will ever be mainstream for them.
